Ji Chang-wook’s 2026 Projects and Next Drama With Jun Ji-hyun
Ji Chang-wook’s 2026 projects span a theatrical film, a Netflix period series and a Korea–Japan romantic comedy. Our original Korean post brings those appearances together and looks ahead to his next drama with Jun Ji-hyun.
The titles are Colony, Scandals and Merry Berry Love. They are separate projects with different stories, rather than successive seasons of one series.
Colony and a Cannes Appearance
Colony, titled 군체 in Korean, is the film entry in the lineup. The official Cannes Film Festival page lists Ji Chang-wook in the cast, and the festival’s press material identifies the film as part of the 2026 Midnight Screenings selection.
Our Korean post places the film’s Korean release in May and describes this as Ji’s first Cannes red-carpet appearance.

Scandals on Netflix
The Netflix project places Ji alongside Son Ye-jin and Nana in a Joseon-era story. Netflix introduced it under the working title Scandals, describing it as a new adaptation drawing on the 2003 Korean film Untold Scandal.
In the Korean post, Ji’s character is Cho Won, a figure whose approach to romance contrasts with the roles discussed in the other projects. The source records September 18 as the series’ release date.

Merry Berry Love and the Next JTBC Drama
Merry Berry Love takes a different direction. Disney+ describes it as a Korea–Japan romantic comedy. The Korean post follows a space planner who loses his previous life and finds himself working on a strawberry farm on a Japanese island.

Looking ahead, JTBC’s parent group lists 인간X구미호, rendered here as Human X Gumiho, in its first-half 2027 lineup with Jun Ji-hyun and Ji Chang-wook. It is described as a fantasy romantic comedy. The official lineup notice does not supply a specific premiere day.
The original post also recalls Ji saying that, during busy periods, he may have only about one day off a month. His explanation was that he wants to explore roles he can take on now, within his limits, while he still enjoys the work.
