Jeon Do-yeon’s ₩11 Million Chanel Skirt With Ladybugs at BIFF

At first glance it looked like a simple white two-piece. But the skirt Jeon Do-yeon wore at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) is priced at about ₩11.11 million (roughly US$8,000), and up close it is covered in tiny red ladybugs.

The outfit: Chanel Métiers d’Art 2026

Jeon wore the look to a BIFF event for Possible Love (가능한 사랑). It comes from Chanel’s 2026 Métiers d’Art collection — the house’s yearly line that showcases its specialist craft workshops.

Both the jacket and the midi skirt are made from a lightly sheer fabric, quite different from the heavy tweed most people picture when they think of a Chanel suit. The skirt is the piece that made headlines in Korea, with its listed price of just over ₩11 million.

The ladybug details

The red accents that look like small brooches from a distance are actually ladybugs, placed on the chest, the sleeves and across the skirt. They were made by hand at the Montex atelier using yarn, sequins and beads. According to the description of the piece, the brooch on the jacket alone took more than 50 hours to make.

How she styled it

Jeon kept the rest simple: hair pulled back, brown shoes and a dark brown bag. With no heavy jewelry, the white fabric and red ladybugs did the work. The bugs make the outfit playful, but on Jeon the overall impression was calm and elegant.
